Capitol Drilling & Contractor Supply, Inc. specializes in the sale, repair, and rental of tools and equipment related to diamond and abrasive cutting. Capitol Drilling carries premier lines such as Honda, Bosch, Target, ICS, Core Bore, Diamond Products, and Partner just to name a few. We handle blades, tools, equipment, supplies and parts – servicing your every need.

The concrete sawing and drilling industry started in the late 1940's. Bud Kuneman and Bob Sloan incorporated Capitol Drilling Supplies, Inc. in 1964. The company's original focus was in selling and servicing of core drilling equipment. As business progressed, there were a number of requests for the company to do the actual sawing and drilling instead of just selling or renting the equipment. Most contractors lacked the expertise to do the work and risked destroying the diamond drill bits or blades.

Robert O. George (Bob) also had a company, Allied Core Drilling. In 1976, Bob acquired Capitol Drilling Supplies and merged Allied into it. Bob remained President of Capitol thru December 2001 when William H. Westbrook (Bill) purchased it from him. Bob and Bill worked together for 15 years both dedicated to the philosophy of being the best at what we do.

On June 13, 2005, the contracting segment of Capitol Drilling Supplies, Inc. was sold in Indiana and Illinois. It was purchased by Penhall Company.

The retail and wholesale distribution segment of the business, known as Capitol Diamond & Abrasive Center was purchased by Capitol Drilling & Contractor Supply, Inc. (CDCS) on June 17, 2005. Capitol Drilling & Contractor Supply is wholly owned and operated by Kevin Ogden (Vice President) and Dennis Meyer (President). If you have conducted business with Capitol in the past you likely know Kevin as the Manager of Sales and Promotion. Kevin has worked for Capitol in that capacity for the past nine years and will continue to manage sales, promotions and operations of CDCS. In addition, CDCS has retained all the employees of the diamond and abrasive center so our customers can expect the same high level of service and expertise.
